IMIは世界で 評判の高いホスピタリティーマネッジメントスクールとして2008年北京オリンピックHOUSE OF SWITZERLANDにも協力しています。
IMIはヨーロッパの国際観光都市として有名なルツエルンのダウンタウンからバスで12分の近距離にキャンパスがあり、スイス最大の都市チューリッヒへも列車で1時間の便利なロケーションにあります。
学生は国際色豊かで、専門カリキュラムが終了した後、行われるキャンパス外のスイス国内外の提携雇用先で行われるイントレーニングセッション（有給のイン ターンシップワーキング）で養われた実践的なスキルを身につけIMIの卒業生の多くが世界中の有名ホスピタリティー 企業で活躍しています。

と分かれており、出願者の最終学歴（日本ともしお持ちであれば海外）及びお持ちであれば職歴等の要素により、具体的にどのコースから出願可能なのかがIMI アドミッション側で決定されます。
通常、高校卒業資格をお持ちの場合はCertificateコースからのスタートとなり、4年制大学（Non- hospitalityメジャー）卒業資格をお持ちの場合はPostgraduateコースからのスタート、海外のホスピタリティー系の4年制大学卒業資 格をお持ちの場合は直接最高学位であるMBAコースからスタートできます。

IMI Dilomaコースを修了の場合（Dual Award）:
IMI Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management
又は
MMU Cert HE International Hotel and Tourism Management
IMI Higher Dilomaコースを修了の場合（Dual Award）:
